Frank Brooksher

Frank joined the ministerial staff of TBC in June 2015. Frank and Sharron Hawk partner together to lead a group of dedicated volunteers in the PASTORAL CARE ministry. This ministry focuses on Trinity members and their families during hospital stays, visits to assisted living facilities, and those members unable to attend church due to illness or disabilities.

Frank retired in 2000 with 32 years in law enforcement. He and his wife Judy have been members of Trinity for the last 16 years. They have two daughters, Tanya and Tara and a son Trent. Five grandchildren bless their loves also. Frank enjoys hunting,fishing and golf.

Pastor Wheat

John Wheat, Senior Pastor
John came to Trinity in July of 2012. Prior to coming to Trinity, John served eight years as the pastor of First Baptist Church in Kenedy, Texas. He served seventeen years as a youth minister and eight years as a college minister before becoming a pastor. He is a graduate of Baylor University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has completed the certificate of Advanced Biblical Studies at Bethel Seminary. He is married to Melinda. Their oldest daughter Mandi is married to Jake Kelley and they have three sons Jackson, Benjamin and Boone. The Kelleys live in Abilene where Jake serves on staff at The Well.  Their youngest daughter Amy lives in Kerrville and works at the Hill Country Youth Ranch. John’s hobbies include anything that involves a ball, cycling, fishing, hunting and spending time with his wonderful family.

Larry Danks

Larry Danks, Minister of Worship
Larry joined the TBC staff in September of 2006 after having served churches in Arkansas and Missouri. Larry and Mary Pat have three grown children and seven “super” grandchildren. Larry has a heart to help the church worship well. His strengths are evident on the platform on Sunday morning, in the choir loft as each group rehearses and in his desire to meet and encourage each person to use the gifts God has given them to serve the Lord. Mary Pat enjoys singing and performing dramas. She also serves on the video team for worship. Larry has earned degrees from Southwest Baptist College, Bolivar, MO. and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.

Travis Garcia

A native of South Texas, Travis joined the staff at Trinity in August of 2009. During his time in high school he felt God calling him toward vocational ministry. Travis is an alumnus of Howard Payne University, it was during his time there that God revealed youth ministry as the specific area of service. He earned a degree in Youth Ministry and is actively pursuing a master’s degree. It was also at HPU that Travis met his wife Erin. The Garcia’s have one son; enjoy cooking, eating, and trips to the coast.

JD Templeton, Adult Discipleship

JD connected with the Trinity family in April 2016. He and wife Kimberly have two adult sons, Joel and Daniel. The couple met at Angelo State University through the Baptist Student Ministry. Their journey has taken them to Syracuse, NY, Ft. Worth, and most recently fourteen years as pastor of FBC Cotton Center. JD likes most anything outdoors, Kimberly is a hostess extraordinaire, and together they enjoy looking for lost treasures at trade days. JD’s education includes ASU, Tarleton State, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is driven to help people connect with God and one another, especially through small group settings. His most recent favorite quote is from author Bill Hull – “Discipleship…a way of life for all of life!”
