Kids’ Camp is something many of our kids love because it combines fun, learning and community in a unique way. I love the safe and nurturing environment. Knowing we are in an environment where values are important and personal growth is encouraged, we often experience a deeper connection with our faith at camp. Through Bible lessons, worship and prayer, we learn more about God and how to live out our beliefs in a supportive environment. Kids’ Camp is the beginning of our journey to find or enhance our faith. Camp is a beloved tradition that brings back great memories year after year.
Kids’ Camp offers a variety of fun activities like arts and crafts, swimming, games, and hikes. These activities are exciting and allows kids to build confidence and teamwork skills. Kids’ camp lets all of us escape the distractions of our everyday routines and allows us to focus on building on our faith, friendships and personal growth. Whether it’s learning a new skill, overcoming challenges or stepping out of our comfort zone, camps help kids build self-confidence. In short, kids’ camp offers a blend of fun, friendship, faith and personnel development, making it a special experience that many people treasure.

Spring is on the horizon and I’m ready for the sun’s warmth, blossoming of wildflowers and the sound of melodious birdsong. How astounding that during this beautiful, earthly season of renewal, we are also reminded of the renewal we have in God through the celebration of Easter.
The Children’s Ministry would like to be a part of your family’s reflection on the Easter story of Jesus. We invite families to join us for “The Easter Story Family Escape Room” on Tuesday, April 15, from 5:30-6:30. Parents and their children will solve puzzles and find clues to help them escape each room that tells a part of Jesus’ story. Each family will receive a kit with take home crafts and guide to the Easter story. Pizza will be provided, and families are encouraged to RSVP.

I would like to start by saying it is a blessing to be a part of TBC Children’s Ministry!
My personal journey in children’s ministry began in 1982, as a 19-year old college student with the new bus ministry at Kyle FBC. To this day I have precious memories of the children with whom we were privileged to share the love of Jesus. I am thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow as a Jesus follower. The Lord opened my eyes to the plans He had for my future and taught me how to love and serve Him by loving and serving others. Forty-three years later the joy and excitement of teaching children the truths in God’s word keeps me grounded and motivated as I seek Him daily in His word and in prayer.
What a sweet opportunity to serve with our Children’s Day Out AGAPE team as we encourage and show appreciation to the teachers each month. The CDO program provides a wonderful ministry to the families who entrust their children to the caring and rich learning environment provided by an amazing group of teachers, led by Beth Ann Brown.
Our heavenly Father assures us that He has a plan for our lives. One of the most exciting benefits of a personal
relationship with Jesus is saying yes to Him, trusting He will lead and equip for what He calls us to do and experience how He chooses to use us for His glory!
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace… whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 10-11

As I look back on this last year of Ministry in our Children’s area, I am so truly thankful to get to serve alongside some of the most amazing teachers, shepherds and servants. From our Easter Walk Thru, VBS, Camps, First Blessing, Night in Bethlehem, Disciple Kids, Sunday Morning Bible Study and so much more, we have the best people serving our kids and community. I love our Children’s Ministry Team, it is such a blessing to get to serve alongside such amazing men and women!
Parents and Grandparents, remember to pick up your “Spiritual Conversation” Boxes in front of the Children’s Area if you haven’t already. We hope these conversation starters help you have spiritual conversations with your children and grandchildren and will fit into your routine easily. We definitely want kids to know that they are “Created by God and Made for a Purpose”!

We’ve got a few new things going on this winter for parents and grandparents. The first is some new signage on our glass doors and walls. You’ll notice our Trinity Kids Core Value on our Trinity Kids Sign: “Created by God, Made for a Purpose.” You’ll also begin to see additional signs on the glass walls that expand our philosophy/core values.
The second is a new program we are beginning called D6 Family Discipleship. This will be a take home box for parents to help with Spiritual Conversations with their kids. These boxes will be available by the Kid’s Area in mid-November. Each box contains the following:
- Meal Time Conversation Cards
- Drive Time After School Conversation Starters
- Bed Time Family Faith–Talk Starters
We are also adding for the month of December the Advent Flip Chart which can be used at another time or in place of the Conversation Cards. We want to help and support you as parents and grandparents as you disciple your kids.
Deut 6:6-7 “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

I love watching our church serve at First Blessing! What a joy to see so many volunteers (151) minister God’s love to our community. Y’all have cooked, served food, been table hosts, greeted, registered, given socks, measured feet, helped pick out shoes, made bags, handed out Bibles and passed out balloons to these precious kids and their families. What an amazing blessing to these families!
Trinity registered 398 kids, we had 322 kids and 104 families attend on Saturday, September 21st. We ministered to kids from all over our area. Some of those included are Kerrville ISD, Ingram ISD, Harper ISD, Hunt ISD, Divide ISD, Comfort ISD, Center Point ISD, Arms of Hope in Medina, KSTAR, HCYR, and Mercy Gate Ministries.
I’m so very grateful for a talented leadership team that recruits and leads so very well. Thank you Trinity, for serving so very well!

We just celebrated Paula Brucker’s retirement after 18 years of service as the Children’s Ministry Assistant at Trinity. We will miss her very much and yet we are so happy she gets to be with her kids and grandkids full time now. She’s been a blessing as she’s faithfully served our children and families all these years. She served alongside Eric Lankford and Pam Blair before I joined Trinity 9 years ago. I know all three of us are grateful for how Paula ministered together with us. Thank you, Paula, for your 18 years of service!
Summer is coming up quickly. Please make sure you have VBS, Mini Kids Camp, Kids Camp, Cans for the Kingdom, and Parents, Pizza and Snowballs on your calendar for the upcoming summer schedule. We already have some kids signed up for camp and we still have room for additional kids. We’d love to have lots of kids at VBS (sign up after May 1 online) and camp this summer. Contact Kellee for more information about any of these events at kparish@tbck.org.

Spring has sprung. Trees are budding, the grass is greener and even some shrubs are popping with colorful blooms. Before we know it, summer will be here and so it is not too soon to start making vacations plans. May we make a recommendation for a wonderful trip for your children this summer. How about a trip to HOMETOWN NAZARETH? Visit the place where Jesus was a kid, without leaving Kerrville?
One of the universal events in church life is Vacation Bible School, On June 10th, 2024, Trinity will kick off this year’s VBS, transporting the children to Nazareth where Jesus grew up. Getting a glimpse into Jesus’ life, they will explore the culture of ancient Nazareth in Biblical times. The children will learn while Jesus is the Son of God, He also had the same emotions and experiences that they have today. Children will walk away with the complete comfort of knowing that God understands them, cares for them, and loves them enough to give His only Son to ransom them from their sins.
Vacation Bible School is a free event designed to be memorable and life changing; bringing your child closer to Christ and creating a place where friendships are built and strengthened.
Remember, book your child’s free ticket and join us for a trip to Hometown Nazareth on June 10-13, from 9:00 AM to Noon for all children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. Sign up at
www.tbck.org. after May 1
st.
If you are older, a parent or grandparent, there is a place for you too. One of Judy’s fondest memories of VBS is the permanent picture in her mind of her grandmother handing out snacks at VBS at the back door of her hometown church. Volunteer and create a memory for yours or someone else’s child this year. Email Kellee at kparish@tbck.org to find your place of ministry to the children of Trinity and our community.

My family moved to Kerrville in the Fall of 2015 when our youngest, Arwen, was only 6 weeks old. We spent months visiting churches and praying about where God wanted us to plug in. We knew wherever that was would be where Cami and Arwen would grow up physically and spiritually.
On March 28, 2016, we took the girls to something called “Walk Thru Easter” here at Trinity Baptist Church. Cami and Arwen waved palm branches, tasted bitter herbs, but their favorite thing was rolling the stone away to reveal an empty grave! We joined Trinity shortly after that Easter and have been so blessed by the people in Children’s ministry that have walked alongside us to teach, show, and be Jesus to our girls.
I encourage you to bring your children, both little and big, to Walk Thru Easter with us. Let the hope of Easter come alive for you and your children as we celebrate the Hope of Easter in the Power of Christ’s resurrection!
