Children’s Ministry – September 2022

I am so very grateful for the prayers and support from our church. We had a wonderful summer in the Children’s Ministry and I’d like to share a couple of highlights for me personally.

We had a great group of kids at VBS and camp that accepted Christ. Many of them have been baptized the past few weeks and we still have some that are needing to be baptized. It has been such a blessing to see God work in the lives of our kids this summer. VBS and camp both were great times to have spiritual conversations as well as spiritual decisions. We are continuing many conversations as we head into fall. I hope we keep having to fill up that baptistry each week because we have so many kids, students and adults come to Christ!

Another highlight of the summer for me was during Pre-Teen camp. One of our church families had a girl from Japan living with them as a short-term foreign exchange student. I am so very grateful that she was able to go to camp with us while she was in Kerrville. We gave her a Bible of her own while we were at camp and the girls would sit down to help her learn to read using her new Bible. She worshipped and heard God’s word alongside our kids. My heart was thrilled to see our girls teach, love and minister to their new friend. We are praying for God to grow the seeds that were planted in her life. Who knew that we’d be blessed to have foreign missions come to us at camp.

Thank you, Trinity, for praying and supporting us during VBS, Camp and summer programming. I’m so very grateful for our church!

VBS Monumental Is Coming!

By Kellee Parish

June 13-16 from 9am to Noon (Monday-Thursday).  Make sure to “early” register online beginning May 1st, at TBC’s website (www.tbck.org), for kids who have completed kindergarten thru 5th grade.

Volunteers are needed to be Family Leaders and Teachers.  Family leaders rotate with children to their various classes.  Teachers are still needed for snacks and crafts.  Let me know if you are available to minister to children during VBS.  Please contact me at kparish@tbck.org.

Our theme this year is “Monumental” and we are learning about the life of Joseph.  The theme verse is Joshua 1:9 “For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”  We look forward to celebrating God’s greatness during VBS!

Travel Through The Easter Story

Saturday, April 16th at 10:00 am, parents and all kids (Preschool thru 5th Grade), can experience the Easter story at 5 different stations. Those stations include The Triumphal Entry, The Passover Meal, The Cross, The Tomb and He is Risen. Each station has an interactive experience which includes an activity or craft. After the stations, we will conclude with an egg hunt.

The children will also receive a “travel passport” and get a stamp for their passport at each station. The booklets tell about Jesus’ journey through his life, death and rising again.

The Easter journey will take place in the parking lot/grassy area across from the church. You may park in the lot off Bluebell Dr. and the journey will begin over by the “Office Annex” side. This will be a wonderful ministry event for you to invite your friends and neighbors. There is no cost and we’d love for our community to attend. Please make sure you bring your own Easter basket to collect eggs and crafts.

Children’s Ministry – March 2022

Our Courageous Kids have done a great job this semester learning about several mission areas and making projects to serve those in ministry. Some of the projects that we have done this spring are encouragement baskets, notes, decorated boxes of encouragement, key chains (with Joshua 1:9) and windchimes. Courageous kids have supported Magdalene House, Alto Frio Camp, groups in our community people, and TBC homebound this semester. We have such a fun time on Sunday nights learning and serving.

CDO Ministry will be taking registration after Spring Break for those interested in our Tuesday/Thursday Mother’s Day Out. For questions, prices, or other information, check out the church’s website, contact Beth Ann Brown or Paula Brucker at 830-895-0100.

Children’s Ministry

What an amazing church we get to serve. I am so grateful for the teachers, workers, ministry teams and lead teams that serve in our Children’s Ministry. We are so blessed to have wonderful adults who spend time investing in the lives of preschoolers, children and their families. I am truly grateful to get to work with such talented, giving and loving men and women.

We are growing and will need additional teachers and workers. If you are interested in joining one of our teams, please let me know and we can talk about where our needs are in Children’s Ministry and where you could possibly fit.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 16th at 10am for our “Walk Thru the Easter Story” for Preschool through 5th Grade. This is a great time to invite your friends and neighbors to come enjoy fellowship with other families and for kids to get to experience the Easter Story through hands on activities. No sign up is required, just show up. We’d love to see you!

First Blessing Report

Thank you to everyone who joined us on our Mission Trip to Kerrville. Trinity’s Mission trip included set up crew, parking lot team, greeters, registration, table hosts, servers, cooking team, transition greeters, sock & feet measuring team, shoe room, bag & box team, exit blessers, and all our prayer warriors. We had over 125 volunteers that serve our community. 229 pairs of shoes and socks were also given out as well as 250 plus meals served. Those were the numbers and yet so much more happened on Saturday.

There were lots of spiritual conversations, prayers and connections with our guests as well as within our church family that Saturday.

I’m so grateful for all the hard work that went into First Blessing from all the volunteers. One example was that set up and take down of the shoe room was done in record time and looked so good.

Thank you also to Acapulco Mexican Restaurant for donating tortillas for breakfast tacos. Thank you to Sysco Foods for donating the
orange and apple juice, and thank you to the YO Ranch Hotel.
