Life at Trinity is given order through three words: Worship, Connect, and Serve. God has gifted each of us differently and equipped us with different passions and preferences. With the choices at Trinity we ask that you seek to Worship with the church, Connect with a small group, and Serve in a way God has gifted you once a week. To help make that simpler we place the things we do under the word that best fits that group or activity. Start by choosing one thing from each area.

Gathering onsite for worship at 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30 AM
- More transition time between services.
- Social distanced seating will be observed and families/households are encouraged to sit together.
- There will be no childcare provided, but take home worship bags for children will be provided.
- Worshipers are encouraged to wear masks as they enter and exit the Worship Center.
- Overflow areas will be provided with the live streamed service as needed or desired.
- Services will be streamed live at tbck.org/live and our broadcast on KCYR 101.5 FM will continue for those hesitant to return at this time.
- We strongly encourage those who are over 65 years of age or anyone who has compromised health conditions to continue worshiping by live streaming for the time being and possibly consider returning during Step 2.

The D6 Challenge

D6 Challenge is an expansion of Pastor Pals to include the entire family. D6 Challenge is a Scripture memory program based off of Deuteronomy 6. As disciples of Christ, we want our preschoolers, children, youth and adults to know God and His word. D6 encourages families to put the word of God into their hearts and minds.
Each verse said is worth 10 points. Your family may say any verses from the Bible as long as you know the book, chapter and verse number. Verses may not be repeated for points. Included in this packet are some suggested verses if you don’t know where to start as well as the points needed for your age group. After each semester we will tally the points to see if your family has completed their points for the Mr. Gatti’s prize package. If an individual or individuals complete their points they will receive a medal even if the family does not receive all of their points. If you have additional verses, you will not lose the points, they will just roll over to the next semester.
BONUS
- For an incentive you may each say Deuteronomy 6:4-9 which should be 60 points but will allow 80 points if the entire passage is said at one time.
- Parents/Grandparents may split their points if you would like. Both Parents/Grandparents count as 1 person in obtaining points. We will include you as 2 on the Mr. Gatti’s prize.
- This semester, the points will be due on August 2nd and the prizes will be awarded at the Family Game Night on August 9th.

Children’s Day Out
Weekday care from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the public school year. This is a pre-registered ministry program for babies through pre-k.

It’s time to register for CDO for the 2021-2022 school year. Our schedule will be as follows:
Only one packet per family is needed. Please read all information in the packet carefully, as there have been some changes. Please remember, CDO spots are given on a first come-first served basis. The supply fee for each child will be due at registration ($50 per child) and is non-refundable. This supply fee reserves your spot. We are looking forward to another great year!

Lord’s Supper Together While At Home
Trinity, this week we have the opportunity to do something unique together. We will be taking the Lord’s Supper as we worship online this coming Sunday. Since we will all be in our own homes we will be using what we have on hand to take the Lord’s Supper together.
My family has beaked our own unleavened bread and we want to show you how to do that today. Before we get started you will want to preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Take a baking pan and line it with parchment paper or just use the pan without paper.
Gather up…
1 cup Flour
1/3 cup Oil
1/3 cup Water
1/4 tsp Salt
Mix everything except the water. After mixed add the water and mix until it sticks together.
Make six portions out of the dough and flatten them out onto the pan. Bake for about 10 minutes or until it is slightly brown on top.
You can make this ahead of time. When it is time for the Lord’s Supper you can gather your family, the bread and the juice and we can worship together.

John 1:5 “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”
Have you ever been in absolute darkness? I think about a time that I visited “the cave with no name” in Boerne and they turned out all of the lights. I opened my eyes to a dark abyss and kept waiting and waiting for my vision to adapt. It did not take long before a bit of panic set in when no shape or form was manifesting out of the darkness. The present situation feels a lot like this darkness. There is so much unknown and we are unable to see what lies ahead. But this is the beauty of light, it cannot be overcome by darkness. The smallest bit of light will pierce the utmost darkness to make things known. The God we serve is light in its greatest form.
The contrast of light and darkness is a widely used concept. Light is often used to represent good and darkness evil. Light can also illustrate the illumination of truth or knowledge. Overall, we see light as bringing peace, goodness, and comfort; while darkness brings about fear, a concept which my children easily understand.
We see light used throughout the Bible to symbolize God, faith and holiness. God is light in the absolute fullest meaning. He is omniscient and morally pure. He illuminates truth and brings hope like the dawn of the morning sun. My fellow Christians, please take heart in this. Jesus Christ is the light and life of men. Our faith in Jesus brings us into fellowship with God, who is LIGHT. This is the good news of the gospel. Whatever dark times may befall us, trust that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)

Trinity’s COVID-19 Response

*UPDATE – 3/16
Thank you to all who worshiped at Trinity and to all who worshiped via live streaming yesterday. Recommendations and meetings concerning the COVID-19 virus continue world-wide and the leaders at Trinity will continue to meet also.
The ministerial leadership at Trinity has closed our campus for meetings and activities at this time, but wish for you to know the church is still active. We are asking all of our off-site groups not to gather physically in homes also. While we are refraining from gathering together physically in groups to deter the spreading of any potential virus we are gathering from a distance.
Sunday worship will continue with a live-streamed service at 11:00 am at tbck.org/live. The service will not be open for onsite participants, but ministers will be available by phone for prayer and counseling. Our Wednesday study will also be streamed at 6:00 pm each week.
The church office will maintain normal hours and is available by phone.
Small group leaders please watch for information on tools to help your small groups stay connected during this time.
We look forward to this season of caution passing. This is uncharted territory for not only Trinity, but for all churches in the United States. With God’s help and direction we will walk through this together. Follow Trinity’s social media accounts as well as this site for opportunities for connection during this season.

We will still meet tomorrow for worship and small group Bible studies, but we are encouraging each worshiper to consider their circumstance and decide to worship in person or online Sunday, March 15th. We will not have our customary donuts and fruit for fellowship or scheduled observance of the Lord’s Supper. During the past 24 hours you have seen a significant world-wide response to the COVID-19 virus. Major sporting events have been suspended, universities are extending their Spring Breaks, and entertainment venues are canceling shows or opting for broadcasts with no audiences. These institutions and groups have responded out of caution with their audiences and situations in mind. As a multi-generational community of faith Trinity Baptist Church is responding to this season of caution intentionally and prayerfully.
Church leaders have been in conversation and are continuing to meet concerning the best course of actions for our community of faith. We wanted to make you aware of these church leader decisions. We will remain flexible during this time.
What We Are Doing
We are still worshiping and having small group Bible study together at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00 am!
We will continue to monitor the local authorities and their recommendations for churches and large groups. At this time no notices have been made from these entities and we are gathering for worship and Bible study.
We will continue to make it easy for you to wash your hands.
Located around our buildings are containers of hand sanitizer as well as hand soap dispensers in the restrooms. Please wash your hands often.
Surfaces are being cleaned on a regular schedule.
Our custodial staff regularly sanitizes surfaces after gatherings using products designed for public buildings. As a precaution, extra cleanings will be scheduled during this season of caution.
What We Are Asking
If you are sick or even feel sick, don’t come to church.
We are a people of community. You are loved and we get the power of community and touch. If you feel sick or have been exposed to someone who is sick stay home. Our services are streamed live on Sundays and available at other times in the Media Vault.
Gather and interact wisely.
Wash your hands often. Sneeze and cough covered and away from others. In whatever you do be aware of how viruses like the flu and COVID-19 spread and take precautions for yourself and those around you.
Pray for this season of caution to pass quickly.
Nothing is out of the awareness or sovereignty of our Savior. We are known by the Great Physician. Pray for those are sick and the ones caring for them. Also, pray for those who are responding to this virus as they give guidance to the general public.
Recommendations during this season of caution can change quickly. If church leaders need to make changes to these plans, we will utilize social media, email, and text messages. Members, please make sure your email and cell phone information is accurate in ShelbyNext.
