— Sunday Mornings
Your first time at worship at a church can be an adventure when you do not know what to expect. At Trinity all services include music, preaching, an offering, and a time for public responses to God’s Word. Each service is slightly different.
What Do I Wear? Modest/casual “as you are” to formal. 8:30 & 9:45 services with a Praise Team or acoustical worship you will see maybe one tie. 11:00 service with piano, organ & choir you will see more ties and dresses.
8:30 Worship
Worship at 8:30 a.m. is led by a Praise Band/Vocal Team made up of Trinity Baptist Church members. The singing, consisting of contemporary Christian tunes and ageless hymns, is done by the congregation with words projected on the screens for all to see. Our Pastor, John Wheat, brings the message and a time of response at the end allows those in attendance to make spiritual decisions. The offering is taken at the end.
9:45 Worship
Worship at 9:45 a.m. is characterized by a Worship Band of Trinity Baptist Church members. The singing will consist of current Christian songs and contemporary arrangements of the old hymns. Instrumental sounds will range from an acoustic blend basic guitar to fuller, more driving rhythms with drums/electric guitar and a full band. This service will take on a relaxed and informal feel as the Word is sung, preached by our Pastor, John Wheat and shared by Trinity Baptist Church members. A time of response at the end includes spiritual decisions as well as a offering utilizing offering boxes.
11:00 Worship
The 11:00 a.m. worship at Trinity Baptist is led with piano, organ and our Worship Choir made up of Trinity Baptist Church members. While the words to all of the songs are projected on the screens for all to see. Special music is presented each week by the choir as well as by soloists and other groups. The worship service includes a decision time near the end of the service where people who attend are encouraged to make spiritual decisions as well as an offering utilizing offering boxes.
— Worship Choir
Our Worship Choir presents choral music for the 11:00 am service weekly as well as special seasonal programming at Christmas and Easter. The Worship Choir’s presentation of “The Victor” each Easter season is a highlight for many throughout the greater Kerrville area. The Worship Choir rehearses weekly at 7 pm on Wednesday nights in our Worship Center. Membership is open to those who are Jr. High age and older. No audition is required for participation in our Worship Choir.
— Praise Team & Band
Our 8:30 am and 9:45 am services utilize the talents of TBC members who play instruments and/or sing in order to lead the congregation in worship. If you are interested in participating in one of our Praise Teams or Praise Bands, please contact the Worship Ministry Office at Trinity Baptist Church.
— Drama Ministry
Our Drama Ministry enhances worship at Trinity in all 3 worship services. The utilization of Drama in worship is scheduled as needed as well as on a seasonal basis. A summer drama is produced for the whole congregation to enjoy. We are always looking for new drama participants including children through adults. by Doug Lusk
The Prime Time Singers is a family of people who love the Lord and who love to sing, and they are delighted to spread His word by doing something they enjoy so much.
Interim Choir Director Becky Doyle did a superb job last season in directing and helping the choir learn the songs they performed for people who might not otherwise have the chance to hear music live and in person.
This season the Singers will be directed by Charlie Barganier, Trinity’s new Minister of Worship. Lew King will continue as pianist/arranger. A number of his works are included in the group’s repertoire. Rehearsals are held at 10 am on Tuesdays and last about an hour and a half.
The first Sing Outs of the new season are tentatively scheduled for River Hill on September 26 and at Hilltop October 17. Participation in the 2023 Everlasting Choir Celebration is being considered and will be decided in October.
Prime Time Singers was pleased to welcome several new members recently and always has another chair available for more. They will gladly welcome you to join them in joyously singing about God’s love and grace.

Christmas Preview Dinner Already??
Things are about to ramp up in the Worship Ministry as we begin preparations for the holiday season—starting with the Christmas Preview Dinner! If you have attended the Christmas Preview Dinner in the past, you know it’s typically a themed dinner event, that we enjoy food and fellowship while hearing the debut of our Christmas Cantata for the season!
This year’s theme is 1950s Sock Hop! Dig out your poodle skirt, slick back your hair, grab a friend, and join us August 27th in the Family Life Center at 6:00pm! Everyone is welcome. Be there or be square…
Worship Choir Returns! Wednesdays at 7:00pm
If you’re interested in joining the 11:00 service Worship Choir, your opportunity to jump in at the start of the season is rapidly approaching! Worship Choir starts back up August 23rd. Worship Choir sings at 11:00 service every Sunday, and typically sings more traditional anthems. Here’s hoping many of our Summer Singers ‘graduate’ to Worship Choir!
Early Bird? Check out the 8:30 Praise Choir
If you like to sing, but prefer an earlier service…. if seating charts aren’t your thing, and you like a little more laid-back atmosphere, then you would probably love singing with the 8:30 Praise Choir. The 8:30 Praise Choir sings more contemporary music than the Worship Choir. They meet Tuesdays at 6:00pm in the Worship Center. Call Stephanie in the Church Office if you’re interested in joining the Praise Choir.
“I will sing to the Lord all my life, I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.” Psalm 104:33

Hello Church Family!
Let me first say a HUGE Thank You to the folks of Trinity Baptist for the way you have welcomed me and my family. As with any move, there are lots of emotions and lots of moving parts, but you have already shown us a great deal of love and support as we follow God’s plan. I want to also say what a privilege it is to serve this church as Minister of Worship, and I look forward to what God has in store for us all. My first few weeks here have been spent getting to know people and faces and finding out all the great things already going on here, and I am excited to see how I fit into that and see what I can offer as I join this great ministry team.
I want to thank the Minister of Worship search team for everything they did to make this process easy and clear for me and my family. I know there was no shortage of ministers who would be honored to be a part of this church and ministry team, and I am thankful that God brought us together in His perfect will and timing. There is no other way to explain why I am here now.
Please continue to pray for us as we move through this transition from Saginaw to Kerrville, selling our home, searching for a new home, getting kids settled into new schools, and all the other details that come with a move. We know God has brought us this far and we know He has already worked all of those things out, but we want a continued sense of peace and comfort to cover all of it.
Here’s to what we hope will be a long and loving relationship as we move forward.

I am a huge believer in our Victor ministry but, I must admit, even I was intimidated at the seemingly daunting task of coordinating and putting together The Victor without Larry, or any worship minister for that matter. However, it has been a great lesson to trust God. It was His will for us to present The Victor, just as we have done annually for the past 11 years. And, He allowed it to happen. All of the pieces came together, as only He could do. I am so grateful God gave us this opportunity to present this special gift to our community. It is hard work, but it is so worth it, even if we reach just one person who doesn’t yet know Jesus. We are so thankful for all who prayed with us for everything involved with the presentation.
It is an exciting time here in the TBC Worship Ministry, as we prepare for our new Worship Minister, Charlie Barganier, to arrive! The view of a call weekend March 17-19 with Charlie and his family was a wonderful time of music and fellowship. It was a joy to work with him, and I know we are all looking forward to his arrival next month!
